I believe relationships are constantly evolving—and sometimes the way we've learned to communicate, love, and navigate conflict no longer works for the life we're building. My work is centered on helping individuals, couples, and families slow down, understand their patterns, and create healthier ways of connecting.

I especially enjoy working with BIPOC couples navigating early marriage and major life transitions—helping them reconnect, renegotiate their relationship, and create a partnership that feels aligned with who they are becoming.

Who I Help

Couples

Especially couples navigating early marriage, life transitions, communication challenges, emotional disconnection, intimacy concerns, conflict, and relationship repair.

Individuals

Individuals working through identity, relationships, self-worth, life transitions, and patterns that affect how they connect with themselves and others.

Families

Families navigating changing roles, communication challenges, transitions, and relationship patterns.

Then a highlighted statement:

My work is particularly grounded in supporting BIPOC clients whose relationships and identities may be shaped by culture, family expectations, traditions, and the experience of navigating multiple worlds.

Why Relationship Work Matters to Me

When I first began my journey as a therapist, I wanted to help children. I quickly realized, however, that supporting children often meant helping them survive and make sense of the environments around them.

That realization changed the way I understood healing. I began to see how deeply children are shaped by the relationships, communication, conflict, and emotional environments surrounding them. I knew I wanted to work upstream—not only helping children cope with what was happening around them, but supporting the adults and relationships that help create the environments where children grow.

That is what led me to couples and family therapy.

I want to support Black and Brown individuals, couples, and families in building relationships and communities where we can feel connected, supported, and empowered to thrive in a world that can often create additional obstacles for us.

At the heart of my work is a desire to heal the generations of the past while supporting the generations of the future. I believe we can honor what previous generations survived while also creating new patterns, healthier relationships, and more supportive environments for the generations coming after us.

Whether it's helping a couple navigate early marriage, supporting parents through a transition, or helping a family understand patterns that have been passed down, I want therapy to be a space where change can begin.

Because the relationships we nurture today can shape the families and communities of tomorrow.

Sometimes that change begins with two people choosing to pause, reconnect, renegotiate, and grow together.

Sometimes the Relationship Doesn't Need to End. It Needs to Evolve.

Marriage changes. People change. Families change. And the relationship has to make room for those changes.

I help couples explore what worked before, what isn't working now, and what they want to intentionally create moving forward.

Then introduce your concept of relationship renegotiation:

Relationship Renegotiation

Therapy can provide space to renegotiate:

  • Expectations

  • Roles and responsibilities

  • Communication

  • Boundaries

  • Family dynamics

  • Cultural expectations

  • Intimacy

  • Parenting

  • Individual identity

  • Shared goals

Modalities

My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to your unique needs. I draw from evidence-based approaches, including:

  • Gottman Method

  • Narrative Therapy

  • Bowen Family Systems Theory

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS)

Together, we'll strengthen communication, increase emotional awareness, build healthier relationship patterns, and develop practical skills that support lasting growth.

Faith & Culturally Responsive Care

Every person's story is shaped by their background, experiences, and values. I strive to create a space where you feel seen, respected, and understood.

As a culturally responsive therapist, I recognize that faith, culture, family traditions, identity, and lived experiences all influence how we view ourselves, our relationships, and the world around us. Rather than making assumptions, I approach each client with curiosity, humility, and respect for what matters most to them.

Our Journey

You Don't Have to Become Someone Else to Create Something Different.

Whether you're entering marriage, becoming parents, navigating a major transition, or simply realizing that your relationship needs something different, you don't have to figure out the next chapter alone.

Therapy can be a space to pause, reconnect, and intentionally create what comes next.

Outside Of The Therapy Room

Outside of the therapy room, I’m a wife, a mom of two, an eldest daughter, and a lifelong New Yorker. These roles have taught me plenty about love, partnership, family, responsibility, growth, and the beautiful—and sometimes messy—reality of doing life with the people you love.

When I’m not working, you can probably find me enjoying one of my comfort shows—Being Mary Jane, A Different World, or Girlfriends. I love revisiting these shows not only for the nostalgia, but for the conversations about relationships, friendship, family, identity, and life that still resonate today.

That love for television even inspired my YouTube channel, Reflect & Rewind, where I revisit some of my favorite shows and reflect on the relationships, characters, and themes that keep us coming back.

Because sometimes therapy happens in the therapy room—and sometimes a good show, a good laugh, and a little reflection can teach us something too.
